Managing Manufacturers

The Manufacturers page allows you to maintain a database of the companies that produce your goods. This information is used to populate the “Producer” field on your certificates.

Adding and Editing Manufacturers

The manufacturer form contains the following key fields:

  • Legal Name & DBA: The official company name and any “doing business as” names.
  • Address: The full, structured address of the manufacturer.
  • Contact Info: Optional contact details for the manufacturer.
  • Disclosure Policy: Controls how producer information is displayed on CUSMA certificates.
    • Show: Displays the manufacturer’s full name and address.
    • Hide: Indicates that the producer information is not disclosed.
    • On Request: States that the information is “Available upon request to the customs administration.” This is the most common default.
  • This is our company (Self): Check this box if the manufacturer record represents your own company. This will automatically set the Producer Type to SELF for any products linked to this record.
