Welcome to COO Studio! This guide will get you from zero to your first certificate in minutes.

Step 1: Launch the App

There’s nothing to install. Just open the app in your browser.

  1. Navigate to app.getcoostudio.com (or click “Launch App” in the site header).
  2. The app runs entirely on your computer for maximum privacy.
Your Data is Private: COO Studio uses your browser's secure, local storage. Your sensitive trade information is never uploaded to a cloud server.

Step 2: Configure Your Profile

The first time you launch the app, you’ll be guided through a quick setup.

  1. Configure Your Merchant Profile: Enter your company’s details. This will act as the default “Exporter” on your certificates.
  2. Add a Product: Add your first product to the catalog. The most important fields for compliance are the HS Code and Country of Origin.

Step 3: Generate Your First Certificate

  1. From the app’s Dashboard, click New Certificate.
  2. Select the CUSMA/USMCA template.
  3. Manually enter the details for your first order. The app will use the product information you just saved.
  4. Review the final certificate and click Generate & Download.

You have now successfully generated a compliant, professional Certificate of Origin. To automate this process, consider upgrading to a Premium plan to unlock e-commerce integrations and CSV imports.
